Day 1 (L,D) MELBOURNE, YASS
Departing Melbourne we travel the Hume Highway to Albury and, following lunch, continue to Yass. Home tonight, the Sundowners Swaggers Motor Inn.

Day 2 (B,L,D) YASS, GOSFORD
From Yass we continue north, bypassing the central Sydney area and travelling on freeways and motorways to Gosford. Home for two nights, The Galaxy Motel.

Day 3 (B,L,D) HAWKESBURY RIVER CRUISE
Today we cruise on the Hawkesbury River with the “Last Riverboat Postman”. Enjoy a buffet lunch on board before arriving back at Brooklyn and making our way to the Gosford Regional Gallery, located on the shores of Caroline Bay.

Day 4 (B,D) GOSFORD, NEWCASTLE, FORSTER, TAREE, PORT MACQUARIE
To Newcastle, Forster and Taree on the Manning River. From North Haven we follow the coast road to Port Macquarie. Visit Billabong Koala Park prior to arriving at our home for two nights, Country Comfort Hotel.

Day 5 (B,L,D) HASTINGS RIVER CRUISE
Enjoy the location, the climate and some free time today. Our highlight is a Hastings River cruise. Plenty of room on board the Port Venture to relax and enjoy the scenery. Dolphin sightings are common. Delicious luncheon as we cruise. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 6 (B,L,D) PORT MACQUARIE, KEMPSEY, NAMBUCCA HEADS, COFFS HARBOUR
Departing Port Macquarie, we continue north to Kempsey, where we visit the Macleay River Museum and Settlers Cottage. Visit South West Rocks and the Trial Bay Gaol & Museum before continuing to Nambucca Heads. Visit Captain Cook Lookout before arriving at Coffs Harbour and two nights at the Comfort Inn Big Windmill.

Day 7 (B,D) PET PORPOISE POOL, COFFS HARBOUR
The Pet Porpoise Pool is Australia’s most interactive marine park where you can be kissed by a seal or shake “hands” with a dolphin. We spend the morning at the Pet Porpoise Pool before enjoying some free time in Coffs Harbour. During the afternoon we explore the area by coach before returning to the Comfort Inn.

Day 8 (B,L,D) COFFS HARBOUR, GRAFTON, BALLINA, BYRON BAY, SURFERS PARADISE
Today we continue north as we travel to Grafton, famous for streets lined with Jacaranda trees. Lunch at Ballina. Visit Byron Bay, most easterly point on the mainland, and into Queensland to the Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise. Home for two nights is the Vibe Hotel, Surfers Paradise.

Day 9 (B,D) SURFERS PARADISE, AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK SPECTACULAR
This morning we visit SkyPoint Observation Deck. Take a fast lift to the 77th floor! Stunning views from Brisbane to Ballina. Free time this afternoon to explore Surfers Paradise. Enjoy the dinner show – Australian Outback Spectacular.

Day 10 (B,D) SURFERS PARADISE, CALOUNDRA
We continue north over the Gateway Bridge to Caloundra. During the afternoon a coastal drive to Mooloolaba where we visit Underwater World. Home for two nights, Rydges Oasis Resort at Caloundra.

Day 11 (B,D) CALOUNDRA
This morning enjoy stunning scenery as we visit Blackall Range, view the Glasshouse Mountains, visit Lake Barron and Mary Cairncross Park. Time to browse in the Mecca of craft villages, Montville. We return via Mapleton and Nambour.

Day 12 (B,L,D) CALOUNDRA, MARYBOROUGH, HERVEY BAY
From Caloundra we travel to Gympie and Maryborough. During the afternoon continue to Hervey Bay, and our home for two nights, Kondari Resort.

Day 13 (B,L,D) HERVEY BAY DOLPHIN WATCHING CRUISE
A highlight of our holiday as we cruise the Great Sandy Straits by Hervey Bay and Fraser Island. Here we look for bottlenose and the lesser-known humpback dolphins. These waters are also home to dugongs and turtles.

Day 14 (B) HERVEY BAY, HOME PORTS
Sadly we travel to Sunshine Coast Airport (lunch on route own expense) for our flights home, concluding a most enjoyable holiday. In Melbourne coach transfer is available to Southern Cross Station and Forest Hill.
