Day 1 (Supper) HOME, ADELAIDE, MURRAY BRIDGE
Passengers arrive by commercial flights into Adelaide during the afternoon and are met by our Seniors Coach Tours tour manager. We transfer by coach to Murray Bridge to board the MV Murray Expedition. A hot smorgasbord supper is served following a welcome by the captain. We cruise upstream with floodlights illuminating the shore as we cruise to our overnight mooring.

Day 2 (B,L,D) MURRAY CRUISE
Cruise through Mypolonga, Wall Flat, Caloote and Ponde to Mannum. During the afternoon continue upstream past towering cliffs passing Younghusband, Teal Flat, Bowhill, and Purnong to moor at Walkers Flat. Australiana dinner tonight. Join the Nocturnal Discovery Tour with the ship’s ecologist for an insight into the abundant wildlife (not compulsory!).

Day 3 (B,L,D) MURRAY CRUISE
Cruise through Wongulla, Nildottie and Big Bend to Swan Reach. Learn about the Murray system as the captain explains the ecosystem of the river. Visit Swan Reach and “Murray Aquaculture” (yabbi farm) prior to lunch. On through the shallows to Blanchetown, take a stroll to view Lock 1. Later we turn downstream and cruise to our overnight mooring at Moorundie.

Day 4. (B,L,D) MURRAY CRUISE
This morning enjoy an ecological walk around Portee Station prior to cruising to Swan Reach. Short stop here. Continue to Big Bend where we join small boat tours with our ecologist visiting lagoons and inlets associated with Big Bend. Bar and barbecue on shore this evening.

Day 5 (B,L,D) MURRAY CRUISE
Cruise to Nguat Nguat Conservation Site. Disembark for a tour of one of the oldest archaeological digs in Australia. Later, back on board, learn a little of the work of the Murray Darling Basin Commission as we cruise through Krohns Landing, Sabaruma and Walkers Flat. Lunch as we cruise. During the afternoon we pass Bowhill, Teal Flat, Younghusband and Pellaring Reach on route to Mannum. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks prior to the Australia Day Captains Dinner celebrations (January only).

Day 6 (B,L) MURRAY CRUISE, MURRAY BRIDGE, ADELAIDE, HOME
Our cruise continues through Ponde, Caloote and Wall Flat to Woodlane, where we disembark to tour the picturesque Reedy Creek Waterfalls area. Return to a most enjoyable smorgasbord lunch as we cruise to Murray Bridge. We return by coach to Adelaide for early evening flights. So concludes a most relaxing and enjoyable Murray River Cruise.
